Crescent Moon(s)

I've noticed my eyesight getting worse for a couple years now, with the chance of no correlation to scrolling my phone inches away from my face every night being zero. On walks, I look at distant trees and houses, convincing myself my eyes just take a second to adjust to things farther away now, as things get clearer and I pretend not to notice that I've just walked closer to them.

But one thing was undeniable tonight as I looked up at the moon and saw three crescents instead of one: my eyesight had changed. And I couldn't go any closer to convince myself otherwise.
